Letter from Our Founder

I
would like to express my gratitude to those drawn
to DoveStar. We honor your choice and offer our
programs out of respect for your needs. DoveStar
has developed over the years through input from
students. My appreciation is extended to all past
and current incoming students for being involved
in this process. Due to expanded locations, I no
longer have the personal contact with all who come
to DoveStar. To properly assess the continuation
of the standards I have set for the school, we request
honesty from all who pass through our doors so we
may all continue to grow and change.
DoveStar has an environment that allows and respects
people's right to be different. We ask the same
from you. Please allow the staff and instructors
to be themselves. Personal processing and change
are an underlying innate function of DoveStar. This
involves not only students but the staff as well.
We are not always on our best behavior, but we are
always the best we can be for that moment. |
Our
instructors are trained to facilitate the ability
to change and heal. They are not superior to anyone,
nor do they desire to be. Our ability to maintain
equality with each other is our value to the universe
as a whole. We each have a unique responsibility
that demands that we respect and fulfill our responsibility
to ourselves, in order to know ourselves and then
to stand in our truth in all our relationships.
If anyone does not understand DoveStar's policies,
or has a request or a concern, there is a procedure
for addressing these issues. We are always in the
process of training new people, as instructors or
office staff, because of the school's growth. If
you feel that you get answers that are not consistent,
please feel free to contact the Director personally
or a member of the DoveStar Board of Directors.
Out of respect for their schedules, please make
an appointment to discuss your concerns.
With an ongoing respect for change, which is mandatory
for growth to occur, I ask for compassion and tolerance
for all our differences as we evolve through daily
processing of life.
You are all in my prayers with unconditional love
and light.

Unique
Qualities of DoveStar
|
1.
Development of a personal style with the focus on
intuition and sensitivity.
2. Ongoing classes so students may enter the program
at any time.
3. Courses can be completed at the student's pace.
4. Advance payment of tuition is not required. Each
seminar is payable as attended.
5. Our program offers the study of technical aspects
of anatomy and physiology through a home study course
plus in-class instruction.
6. Some credit may be given for previously certified
training and documented experience. Transcripts
with grades and certificates of completion are necessary.
7. Personal and professional growth are emphasized
as the student progresses.
8. We support on-going opportunities for alumni
involvement.
9. Tutoring and Guidance are available upon request.

10. A work-study program may be available for those
in financial need.
11. Information on job placement is available. Requests
from other businesses looking for Holistic Practitioners
are posted at each school.
12. Students can travel to any of DoveStar's locations
to complete portions of their training.
13. A tailored program can be formulated to satisfy
other states' requirements.
14. DoveStar programs are designed with an emphasis
on creating and maintaining a lifelong career that
balances physical, emotional and spiritual health
for the therapist and the client.
15. Our students are trained to follow the example
of the business ethics of DoveStar that include
following fair and ethical win-win practices, utilizing
proper accounting procedures, honesty in all advertising
ventures, and a non-competitive approach in networking
with others of equal integrity. The philosophy of
DoveStar teaches that the integrity of an individual
creates the integrity of the community. |
